5 things to improve your website in the next 5 minutes

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

So, your website needs some help but you're just too busy to do much right now. I get it, it's hard to take time from your clients and running your business to improve yourself - but you need to! A website is the first interaction you're going to have with your clients and without something great, they'll move right along.

Here are 5 things you can do to improve your website in 5 minutes.

1. Use Great Photos

Photos keep readers engaged and interested in what you have to offer. Make sure your photos are relevant and interesting. Put yourself in your target audiences frame of mind and decide if you think others would be interested and if it helps sell your product or service.

Of course, don't forget about great stock photo resources to help you get the best images on your website without spending a ton!

2. Update Content

Don't keep the same text from 2008 on your website. A lot has changed and you should be evolving too! Take a few minutes to refresh those words and keep things relevant for your visitors. It's so important to not just let your website sit static for years or even months. Give it a look and I'm sure you'll see areas where you can improve your text and keep your audience interested. 3. Ask Visitors to Subscribe

Generating an email list should be top on your website to-do list. I always include a subscribe option when I design a website. Sometimes my clients aren't sure about it and are worried about having to send emails. However, I always tell them that even if they're not sure how they'll use it now, there is no harm in generating an email list for potential use in the future. It's an easy add and helps your audience see that you're engaged in their future.

4. Check Mobile Responsiveness

Up to 70% of website traffic happens on mobile devices. So don't have a website that's only usable by 30% of your audience. Let us take a look at your website and make sure EVERYONE can have a great user experience while visiting your website.

5. Add Testimonials

If people love what you're doing, don't be afraid to share that! Get others interested by showing how much your past clients or customers enjoy working with you. Testimonial pages are one of best ways to convert potential business.
